Overview of the role
We are looking for a mid-level Graphic Designer to join our global Marketing team in Amsterdam. Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about content marketing, design, brand identity and brand development, and has the skills and agility to work creatively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for further developing and deploying our corporate brand identity. You will work with and help develop brand guidelines, and create content that shows off our wide range of products and services. As we work with clients ranging from organizations looking to reduce their carbon emissions and lead on environmental matters to companies looking to offset their emissions on a compulsory basis, you will produce many different types of materials, including digital and print advertisements, email marketing campaigns, pitch decks, targeted information pamphlets, press releases and internal comms for our international teams. Additionally, you will work on larger-scale brand identity projects.
Even though we are growing rapidly, we are always open to new creative input. We love it when new team members bring fresh ideas on how we can improve our storytelling. What you will do:
The role of Graphic Designer is quite flexible. We have a vast number of ongoing projects and a huge to-do list of design ideas, so your specific talents and interests will shape the role significantly. Below we list the role’s baseline tasks.
- Design digital and print media such as advertisements, banners, newsletters, pitch decks, technical documents and internal comms.
- Support the Marketing team in improving websites and social channels, with an eye on UX/UI. Taking independent initiative on this is much appreciated.
- Manage the brand book and database to ensure both are always up-to-date.
- Design logos and icons for sites and platforms.
- Create a stock image library.
- Maintain brand consistency while catering to internal stakeholders’ design needs.
- Regularly communicate with stakeholders from outside the Marketing team to receive accurate input and ensure all creative ideas match the needs of the business.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, multimedia design or a related discipline.
- Experience working with brand guides.
- Comfort working independently within a corporate context and the ability to self-start.
- Expertise in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Professional proficiency in English (C1 or equivalent or higher). Additional languages definitely help.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to advocate for your creative ideas to internal stakeholders.
- An affinity for environmental issues, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability.
- Experience working with motion graphics, photography and/or video content (not required, but definitely a plus).
