At ACT Commodities we help our clients source environmental products. What does that mean? We help our clients reach their environmental and sustainability objectives by sourcing products such as carbon offsets (CERs and VERs), Renewable Energy Certificates (electricity/gas), and many others. We help our clients find tailor made solutions in line with their company values at the most cost-effective levels by utilizing our knowledge and network.
What you’ll do:
As a Sales- Corporate Solutions you will work with a range of clients of various sizes in different industries, each with their own set of exciting challenges. You will create, manage and grow your own portfolio of clients, using your strong interpersonal skills, and stellar communication to gain your clients’ trust.
You will find your own leads and through extensive cold calling you will break down barriers and go the extra mile to ensure you stand out to your clients. On top of that, you’ll also get the ability to go on (bi-)monthly business trips to your respective country to add the invaluable face-to-face meetings to your work as well.
Every day, you’ll go the extra mile to make sure your clients will keep you on top of their minds. As more and more corporate companies are looking to be carbon neutral, they are searching for ways to achieve this goal. You will consult companies on their sustainability goals, help them build a sustainable strategy, and offer them the products needed to execute their strategy. You like staying up-to-date on industry news, doing research into directives and regulations, attending conferences, creating PowerPoints and searching for untapped opportunities.
Who you are:
You’re a young and ambitious professional with experience and an affinity with sustainability, the energy sector and sales. You're not afraid to cold call in order to build up your client portfolio. You are also self-motivated and keep going even when things get tough, are eager to learn, welcome constructive criticism and are not afraid to fail and try again.
In a nutshell you are:
- Native English speaker
- Bachelor’s/ Master's graduate, preferably in Business, Sustainability, Economics or Finance;
- 2 -4 years’ experience in the field of Sustainability, Environmental Energy Commodities or in Business development/Consulting/Sales role;
- Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills;
- Not afraid to approach people and great at maintaining relationships;
- Energetic, curious and ambitious;
- Driven to close deals and make a difference.
