As an accountant you will be part of the Finance team of ACT Financial Solutions, working with an international product and client portfolio and closely with the operations team and front office. This makes for a very diverse and challenging environment, which reflects in the job as well. In essence, your role involves:

• Be main point of contact for Accounts Payable or Receivable or related matters (clients; treasury and front office)
• Processing bank statements
• Preparation of payment runs for approval
• Assisting the Senior Financial Controller in the preparation of month-end reporting and other regulatory reporting
• Assisting with execution of financial audit requests
• Assisting with the design & implementation of data controls
• Assisting with the monitoring of overdue accounts receivable
• Ensuring the integrity of financial data through reconciliation, checks and validations
• Harmonization of accounting administrations and processes including process improvement

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

• University degree in Finance (Bachelor in Accountancy preferred) with 1 - 3 years of relevant role experience in the Netherlands
• Excellent written and spoken English skills (Dutch speakers is a plus!)
• Well-versed with MS Excel functionality, working medium size data and an affinity for systems (a knowledge of Power Query is a bonus!)
• Experience in international VAT treatment and Microsoft Dynamic NAV is a plus
• Works well under pressure with a self-starter mentality, capable of working independently
• Strong decision-making and time management skills
• Proactive with a focus on continuous process improvement
• High attention to detail and adaptability to change, with a questioning mindset and diligence in task completion
