Your Role in Our Story:

As a Quantitative Risk Analyst at ACT Group, you will be instrumental in enhancing our risk management strategies and ensuring our organization's financial resilience. You will join a dynamic team committed to developing and optimizing risk assessment models that support the company’s decision-making processes. By leveraging your expertise in Python and SQL, you will analyse complex datasets to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will provide insights and recommendations that guide strategic initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of innovative solutions in risk management. In essence, your role involves:

  • Design and implement advanced Python risk models.
  • Optimize algorithms and statistical models for risk prediction.
  • Maintain and update codebases for performance and reliability.
  • Process and analyze large datasets using SQL.
  • Apply statistical techniques to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Perform stress testing and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the trading desk to gather data and understand strategies.

Your Expertise: 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes: 

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience with strong knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in trading houses is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with excellent proficiency in English.
  • Proactive and adaptable to shifting priorities.
